The Flower Show is held in Bangalore twice a year at Lalbaugh in January and August on the occasions of Republic Day nad Independence Day respectively :P. Lalbaugh is one of the "must see" places in Bangalore. This botanical garden has more than 1000 species of flora and has trees which are more than 100 years old which are labelled for easy identification!
I visited the Republic Day Flower Show some time back and as usual it was awesome and beautiful. However, we went there on a Sunday and the place was so crowded that there was no space to stand and breath.
Still we enjoyed it and got to see millions of flowers(many of them are rare) together which, by far, is a dream these days! There are competitions also with the likes of HAL and Indian Railways as participants. (There were a lot of first prize boards, so not clear who the winner was)
Anyways, since we couldn't click much due to the huge crowd, below are some assorted pics from last year as well as this time:
